Kit and I used to watch the Jetsons Movie all the time when we were kids, and I just watched it again recently. It’s so ridiculous, SO hilariously 1990 (Mr. Jetson raps, one of our heroes plays a sweet key-tar, and a song sequence features animation befitting a Peter Gabriel video), and yet there is so much to love about it. Judy is voiced by singer Tiffany, who does a number of truly amazing songs. There’s an unsubtle message of social and environmental preservation and awareness, of course, because that was starting to be really in vogue in the 90’s. And this was actually the last role for both Mel Blanc and George O’Hanlon, who voiced Mr. Jetson. Kind of bittersweet.Anyway, Kit reminded me how we both adamantly denied any feelings for Apollo Blue, the boy Judy meets on the mining colony. Now that we’re adults and have lost our sense of shame, we can admit it. This is for you, Kitter.

Hey, just wanted to let you know I love this picture of Judy and Apollo Blue! I found it googling a few years back, but I've used it as wallpaper more than once! You did a really nice job! I love the characters and enjoyed their time together in the JETSONS movie!

So here I am playing guitar in mainland China (taking a break from training) and a friend asks me "Why did you start learning guitar?" Not when but Why... And for some ridiculous reason my mind came to an image of some blue guy Judy Jetson (of HB fame) dated, in a television movie I saw when I must have been... six.
I promptly answered with the easier to explain lie of "I heard a song a couple of years ago and just really wanted to play it".
But for the rest of the day I sat here thinking, "WTF BRAIN - the Jetsons?!?" A few google searches later I knew his name, and a quick trip to DA to find ONE deviation sincerly worth the click that (until now) secretly reinforced my male existance.
In the many VHS replays that my younger sister and I must have watched (in order for this to be a conscious thought 17 years later), I remember thinking that boys who liked girls should be like Apollo; calm, collected and probably blueskinned astromen who sing like Peter Gabriel and play wierd guitar/keytar hybrids while navigating montages atop flying apparatus... A tall order but, it seems that list (after reading the comments from other strangely nostalgic folk) summarized many young ladies requirements.
Not entirely sure where I am going with all this, but your Deviation has allowed an hourlong meandering of the mind and reckless abandon of macho pretenses. Thankyou very much for sharing, and my apologies for reigniting comments on an older dev

Nicely done! I loved this pairing when I was a kid, and even as an adult I still do since I saw the movie quite recently. It's a shame Apollo wasn't seen in other Jetson related things. He was a nice character. ^^

I was OBSESSED with this movie as a child. My sister hated for me to rent it, that was how much I watched it. (I still have the tape and watch it every now and then.) I especially loved Judy and Apollo, and him being a blue alien dude was just so cool to me. LOVED You and Me, and I wish that the song at the drive in had had some sort of animation to go with it. Yes, Apollo was hot. I digged his voice, and Judy's. I remember rabidly watching the credits, to find out who did their voices. Oh, I was a crazy kid. So glad to see some art here of them! <333

Never could forgive HB for the stunt-casting of Tiffany, thereby denying Janet Waldo to voice Judy Jetson in the final Jetson appearance with Mel Blanc and George O'Hanlon. Having Tiffany's voice instead of Janet Waldo's come out of Judy Jetson was like watching a Beatles video and finding Justin Beiber superimposed over John Lennon!

Everybody's got a right to their opinion. I personally though Tiffany was AMAZING in the role. But then, i am not a fan of the old cartoons, so. There you go.

My other huge crushes where Prince Philip from "Sleeping Beauty" and Simba from the "Lion King"... Every time I mention sexy Simba, I get weird looks, but he was just soooooo delicious singing "Hakuna Matata" right after he grows up

I'd LOVE to see those two in another movie! I even have an idea for one! Apollo goes to visit Judy, unfortunatly, his parents come too. They reveal that according(sp?) to their people's traditions, by singing a song Apollo wrote for her, Judy agreed to marry him! Of course, Apolla never intended that. I picture Mr. and Mrs. or Lord and Lady Blue as a big shot composer and an operatic diva.

Holy crap I watched this like 4 days ago for the first time since I was a kid. It is SO ridiculous lol. Why was Apollo even hanging out with her whole family? LoL Also he literally has like 4 lines in the whole movie and he was still super hot.

I watched that movie all the time too! when I was so young that Judy's Cosmic Cosmo plight really seemed serious and tragic to me! I was like 7 and Apollo Blue made me want a boyfriend so bad. and those songs were SO good! but that animated music video you're talking about is just so cringeworthy
