Jenny (Peaches) and Jude, who are both saints in their own intentional and accidental ways. My Dad passed those lyrics onto me, and my sister Kit reminded me of them recently, when it was prudent.Anybody who's ever seen Barbucci & Canepa's Sky Doll will recognize that I've been reading it too much.
I'm jazzed because I finally figured out how to use PS7 correctly, what with the coloring behind the lines and all! So many new possibilities...

Dude, Jude has been gone like a song since like, last year. Jude is no more. There will never be another Jude drawing. But there will be more Jenny in the future, I promise.

Was Jude a bit too much sin for Jenny to handle? They're together here, but she still seems alone again, a little heartbroken but resolute.

Aww. No, he's not heavy on the sinning, just heavy on the heartache. He's a man with a history, I guess. She's just sad that she can't fix his hurts, which is the old, familiar heartache of everyone who loves somebody.

I think I understand...no matter how much she loves him, comforts him, holds him, she can't make it better. His desire for her devotion isn't the problem, so devoting herself to him isn't the solution, when she so wishes it were. That kind of pain kicks right where it hurts, and Peaches likes to feel tough and invulnerable...does she ever question whether that hurt is worth being able to love intensely?

Absolutely, all the time. She's a strong girl, but she doesn't feel strong, especially emotionally. Her heart breaks at the drop of a hat. Sometimes she wishes she could pull away from everyone and be cold and spare herself the ache, but that's no fun. It's always worth it, which is why she keeps doing it.

Yeah. In that sense and in others, she's a saint; she didn't necessarily die, but she allows her heart to be vulnerable to pain in order to love. That's a big sacrifice, but it's worth it.
