Description
The title is a quote from the famous opening lines of Charles Dickens's novel A Tale of Two Cities:
"It was the best of times, it was the worst of times [...], it was the season of Light, it was the season of Darkness, it was the spring of hope, it was the winter of despair [...]"
Dickens's novel was about the turbulent years of the French Revolution, but those lines strike a chord with me right now, in the winter of 2021. In the darkness of the pandemic we're still faced with, but with the light already there in the horizon, in the form of the vaccine. The spring of hope is drawing closer with each passing day.
