Description
EDITΒ these are the new helmets I made. The updated version:
Details on the Bioshock 2 Big Sister Helmet.
Story was, I didn't really intend to make this costume until I came across an old-school world globe I found in the garbage of a school.
It does have breathing holes, various punctures / "bullet holes" punctured into the helmet, which are moreorless visible to the eye. XD
Helmet: World globe used as a base, spray painted the base, painted over it using acrylic paints and various markers, and then painted PVA/Wood glue over it to protect the surface (WITH FISHIES)
Lense: Lid of a round lunch container glued onto the helmet (using silicone), painted over it with acrylics and markers, bike light glued onto the back of the lense (lights up), with bolts glued onto the rims
Lenses: Bigger lense on top of the helmet is made from some "beer" goggles with a flashing light in the centre, the smaller lenses are hose connectors painted over and glued on (one of them has a goggle lense glued onto it and painted over with nail polish)
Time it took to complete: Uhhhh...5-7 months...? Would've been less time if I had all the pieces I needed all at once. XD

What did you use to make the main lense? like cellaphane?

You mean to make the redness of the lens? I used a red transparent plastic sheet from a folder, which is I suppose is similar to cellophane. If you have any other questions, feel free to ask!Β

You could still use cellophane, but maybe a few layers of it enough to blur your face out?Β

Mine was just big enough to fit my head, so I suppose it may have been a little bigger then the one you have? I'm sorry I can't help much, but I'd recommend looking for another one in a store in that case.

Will there be any little air holes for you to breathe if you're wearing the helmet?

Lily-pily In reply to Stitchpunk0 [2011-06-16 00:37:45 +0000 UTC]
XD There's a few little "bullet holes" poked round the helmets which aren't very noticable including some in the two bottom lenses
