Description
Was inspired to begin these costumes thanks to 's Boy of Silence cosplay: soraroxasaxel2.deviantart.com/β¦ Obviously the helmets are still sort of in the early stages right now, currently I'm plastering them and sanding the surfaces down (front one in the image is mostly plastered). I'm also in the process of working out the chest plates, already have the actual outfit gathered.Materials used: Balloons and buckets were used to form the heads shapes, many layers of plaster clay (plaster of Paris I think). The horns/ears are cups, containers and plastic plates/and bowls formed together. The nose is cardboard, and the mouth/beak is based on the form of a knee pad. This surprisingly isn't nearly as hard to make as the Commander Shepard cosplay was, yeesh...

Holy! Those look fabulous!! I love how their mouths are quirked to the side abit- It kinda gives the helmetΒ more of a humanistic quality. And its simply amazing that you did two!

The actual design doesn't have eyes, just a nose and mouth.

I know that. I mean how's the wearer supposed to see where they're going?

Ah. Well, the idea is we wouldn't be walking around in them, that would be suicidal. Would remove the helmets whenever we need to walk or rest, the helmets are only to be worn for photos.

Ah right. Who will wear them? You got any nephews, for example?

Nop, me and a friend plan to wear them.

Ah, okay. You know, has anyone ever drawn a Little Sister playing with a Boy of Silence? Could be an idea worth looking into.

Actually haven't seen anyone do that yet, but I have thought of drawing a similar idea. ^^

Ah right. My sister's goddaughter actually caught me playing Bioshock 2 a while back and she asked me what the Powerpuff Girls were doing in the game. OK 1) She was only 4, so how does she know that show? 2)How could she mistake them? And 3) Dya think that'd make a good pic as well? PPG in grey & yellow alongside Big Daddy?

Hah, that's quite adorable. And maybe it was the voice of the little sister that made her think it was a powerpuff girl...somehow?

Yeah, it was adorable...and not a bad idea either. Perhaps it was the voice, but I don't know. So what other themes dya have for your work aside from TMNT & Bioshock?

Guess just random 4 year old stuff. ^^ And I don't have a lot of drawings planned for the future, mostly just original work.

Oh, really? That's a shame cause I was gonna ask you how well you could draw old Disney stuff like Mickey Mouse. We don't see enough of things like Disney OC's. You know?

Well, I have tried drawing Donald and Goofy a few times many years ago...it's pretty hard. I just want to focus more on my own original work rather then just fanart these days. And everyone else draws plenty of Disney at least

That's very true. I've given Mickey a few tries and they rarely come out good. But I meant people making their own characters.

Disney just has this certain style that takes a while to master, I know I'll never actually be able to draw Mickey or Donald and Goofy as well as the Disney artists seem to. Oh well! And you mean original characters/stories?

I know, but seeing them in different styles is cool too. Stuff like this -
elera.deviantart.com/art/Doublβ¦
chico-110.deviantart.com/art/Pβ¦
twisted-wind.deviantart.com/arβ¦
- And, yes. I think seeing them in your own style would be cool. You do have some good designs under your belt.
Here's some great work from an amazing pair of writers

Ah, yes I recognize some of those drawings. Although, the style's aren't too different to the actual Disney style, I see what you mean. And thanks!

Not a problem. You should read some of their stories. They're fantastic! BTW You know that coloured comic with the wolf whistles? How freaking cute did Mickey look as he was blushing in that last panel?

Fraid I have very little patience for reading things, even comics, but if I get bored enough I might. ^^

Trust me, you won't get bored of these. But perhaps try twisted-wind's visual comics first.
