I understand where you're trying to go with the photo, but I don't think you're quite there yet. I have a few suggestions that might help you. Please remember I'm not trying to be insulting, but helpful. (:
There are just a few small things that can improve this photo drastically. First, the background should be clear of any obstructions. These include the thing in the bottom right corner, the thing on the left side, ect. Just overall anything in the background needs to be cleared away. May I suggest taking the photo against a blank, preferably neutral-toned wall? Even a sheet for beds works if you're really in a pinch (just be careful with shadows forming, which they can easily when you use a sheet rather than a professional muslin background). These suggestions are both assuming you don't have access to a proper studio (: I also wanted to suggest removing the bracelets. They take away from the photo a bit in the sense that the colors clash completely from any that are in the photo otherwise, and they give a bit of an immature feel to it, considering you're trying to convey something a bit more adult.
Next, I would say one simple word needs to be touched upon, and that is focus. Since this seems to be a self-portrait, I would assume you're setting your camera on a timer, and then relying on it to magically focus on you, which sometimes doesn't go as well as planned. Focus is extremely important in any photo where you want the person to look at the details and very small features of the work. May I suggest taking quite a few shots before you attempt to get the one you actually want to use? This helps to see exactly what will work for you and your camera. Try and try again is all I can say there. Along with making sure your camera is on the correct settings for the art.
I have two more things I would like to touch upon. First, your lighting. It's extremely bright, and doesn't help with the photo at all. It washes out the face quite a bit, leaving the bottom part of the photo feeling a lot darker than it is, throwing the whole composition of the photo off. It's a simple fix for this one really. Just move away from direct light to take the photo. Yes, you want lots of light, but no, you don't want the sun blaring down on you. They are two completely different things. Once again that's assuming you don't have access to a studio where you could set up your own fill lights, ect. e.deviantart.net/emoticons/b/b… " width="15" height="15" alt="

Lastly, I would like to talk a bit about your pose. Overall, it's okay, but it leaves me feeling a bit blank. Your eyes are extremely flat, and there's really no emotion behind anything you're doing. It just seems like you're trying to convey sexiness through simply showing some skin. I have always believed that to convey such a feeling, you yourself must feel it through your entire body. This includes your face. To help add a little spark behind the pose could I suggest maybe playing some music in the background that helps to fit the emotion you want to convey? Or even just really feeling it through your body, focusing solely on it can really help.
Good work, and good luck in your future shooting!

Thank you! I appreciate it. I agree that the background definitely takes away from the photo. That's one thing that really bothers me about it. I don't have the best camera and so I'm still experimenting with it and playing around with different settings. It takes practice. Thanks for the critique.

Oh no I completely understand! It always takes practice to figure out exactly what you're looking for in a shot (: I'm sure you'll get much better the more you try! And it's not that the photo was bad, everyone has room for improvement is all Good luck!
