Hello my friends!
Long have you waited but finally I finished the first part of the CSS tutorial. This introduction is designed for absolute CSS beginners and will show you step by step the ways of CSS coding and also a bit of designing a basic graphic layout.

I wrote the document for this tutorial in Adobe InDesign and converted it into a pdf-file. You will find it together with some stock examples in the zip-folder when you download it.
Note: You need Acrobat Reader to open the document!!! It's free software.

thanks so very much for writing this awesome tutorial. It will take me a while to learn it, but I am looking forward to spiffing up my dA journal page a bit. It's pretty boring right now. I just learned how to do thumbs and change the color of the background and header.
I still don't see why you have to design in tin photoshop, but I am sure there is a reason. I'm just too wiped out to figure it out right now.
But I'm amazed and grateful that you put together such an incredible tutorial for others to read and learn from. Thank you very much!

You don't have to use Photoshop for designing. Any Graphic software will do. But I do use PS.

Really? The password only concerns the altering of the document. It shouldn't affect the reading of it. But if you still cannot open it I send you an unlocked version.
