Description
My second smartie-macro and counterpart to my new ID.
I've wanted to cover the idea of "being different" for some time now, and as I love smarties... *g*
There will probably some more shots of the same theme, but I haven't taken them yet. After my final exams, I guess... I already have ideas en masse! ^_^

The concept is overdone, but you bring some freshness into it (myself, I have done with gummibears, penguins and other similar things - not published).

Thank god they're not gummi bears. I like that the smarties underneath are out of focus, it gives the ones in the foreground more definition. The blue and green look beautiful together. I've always liked that colour combination. The orange contrasts nicely with them. Have you tried photographing them at different angles rather than just straight on? Have some smarties larger than others, etc.
Another idea might be to paint over a smartie with a similar colour (either blue or green) - I have my own conceptual connotations of that idea but it's just a branch out of this idea.

Its cool! Simple and yet so good... i think u should have put all of the same color except for one! It would hav had a greater effect!

Thanks! I did put in only those, because of the cold-warm contrast. If you let out only one color it's hardly significant, because there are so many: blue, green, purple, red, orange, yellow, pink and brown.
