Nothing fancy. I just wanted to use some red actually. And I missed drawing Florence's dumb face inbetween all the schoolwork...Also I forgot to draw the rest of the bow haha. I'll see about fixing that later.

dude the style he's drawn in totally reminds me of Nine's style. it's cool (and odd!) to see him taller! XD

Yeah, it's probably the black/white+one colour thing and the clean lines, I think. xD
He's not so much taller as he is more uh, realistically proportioned? I've had some problems when doodling him along with Angus and Florence kept coming out too short and kidlike. Anyhow this makes him look more adult, maybe. Kinda want the character to be understood as an adult without having to explicitly state that he is not twelve. Aaa decisions.

I can understand where you're coming from with not wanting to have to say 'NO HE'S NOT A KID', and he definitely looks more adultlike now, but make sure that you're holding true to the character and not just altering him to cater to the masses' stupidity and laziness :3 I rather liked him when he was short and round, and anyone who watched and listened to him for more than a few seconds can easily understand that he's not a child, I think.

I didn't know Florence played the violin! And the bow obviously is at such an angle that the rest of it is hidden behind his head.
(IE: I didn't notice it was missing... -cough- and I'm a former cellist...)

That's one of the most important aspects of his character really. He specializes in the supernatural, hypnotic genre durr hurr.
I just don't draw him with a violin very often because it's difficult as fuck. Need to practise.

I've trouble with dead objects in general really. Anything that isn't organic, haha. I've played the violin myself (not anymore, nowadays I only play trumpet and hardly even that; got no time to do everything I want sadly) so at least the trouble doesn't come from lack of inside knowledge...

Oi, I know - you'd think me being a brass player would help me be able to draw brass instruments, but noooo. I used to play the cello, and then started trumpet, which I played seriously for years, but now I'm going to study french horn

Haha, frighteningly similar. I started out with the cornet (recently started playing the trumpet), and since expanded with violin, and a while ago started to experiment with the french horn. I've also been dabbling with accordion, tin whistles and drums but you know. The trumpet is me.

I may end up finding that out as well, but there's something that just fits with the horn that doesn't quite with the trumpet. I think it's how lyrical the instrument is in comparison, and how similar the horn is to my voice.
Also, I can't play drums for the life of me...
