I figure since the comic is on indefinite break, I might as well get this out. This is probably gonna get a chorus of "She didn't need it"s so allow me to explain.

So I have a lot of characters. Like, more than I've ever posted here, up there in the 100's by now. And while I try to give them all an equal amount of attention, some end up getting left in the lurch for being uninteresting or too hard to draw. One such character ended up being Famine. I know she's a favorite among you guys, but I dunno, I just kinda fell out of favor with her, and it turns out it was because she just wasn't fun to draw. She became too goofy and scrawny looking from a misguided attempt to make her look fit how she acts, her outfit was elaborate and in some ways too similar to Amber's, and her stupid stupid bangs were impossible to get right.

I tried a couple different ideas for a new Famine and settled on this. I wanted her to look a little prettier while still retaining her goofiness, hair and clothes that are easier to draw and would stand out next to the other female OCs, and a friend of mine talked me into giving her a midriff. I wanted her to look different, but not SO different that it might as well be a different character.

Hopefully with this I'll feel better about using Famine more often. I still gotta test how this'll look next to Amber and some other characters associated with her (that I'll get into later).
