full view pleasssssse.so this... hahahah. i just realized i spent a ton of time making this and it's kind of... weird? it's basically about appreciation i guess.
arnold's pickin up helga for prom. he's all pissed that his amaaaazing girlfriend's family doesn't appreciate her at all so he fucks with the million pictures of olga (and a family portrait that helga apparently didn't make the cut for? hahahah) just to be a bitch lolol.
haha i duno. it seems random now that i'm looking back on it. O WELLZ. it was one of those 3 am write it on my phone before i fall asleep ideas. tehehe THE BEST ONES. i also realized all my picture ideas happen as i'm falling asleep or when i'm in the shower. wooooootae

OMG!!! I saw this picture on pinterest some weeks ago and I had mixed feelings. It's kind of rude but... it's fair. Also it's very cute to see Arnold so mad at Helga's parents because they leave her aside because of Olga :3Β

I have seen this strip so many times and I cannot believe I haven't commented yet. Let me tell you: this strip no words are needed at all. All those pictures show Olga and just her and that shows how much the parents disregard Helga. It's sad that she has to be the one ignored for her older sister but in fact it makes her character a whole lot stronger.
Helga was one of my favorite characters in the show. She was brave, funny, and pretty cool in my book. This strip you made is amazing. Just figured I'd tell you that.

Helga's story is probably one of the deepest tragedies I've seen in a cartoon. When you learn what the creators were going for with her character, it makes you see this show in a whole new light.

All three of them are equally guilty for her lack of love andΒ effection.Β parents are guilty for neglecting her, olgas guilty for lettingΒ her parents put her on a pedastalΒ and obviousely not realize she could have shared the spotlight with helga. honestly does she not realize whatΒ a sucky older sibling she isespecialy in that preschool episode it boke heart her walking in the rain.

Man, I really do love how you're able to convey so much emotion without any dialogue at all. This really is one thing that I wish would've continued if Hey Arnold had continued into their high school lives. He would make her feel so special.

I wouldn't say it's weird as much as an interesting piece delving into the psychology of the characters developing in response to each other. Arnold having used to not see Helga as the amazing thing he does now, also gets to see the neglect she takes from her family ---and as you describe acts on it. It's strangely fitting into the setting and would of easily happened if the show ever got to this point.
