full view pleasssssse.so this... hahahah. i just realized i spent a ton of time making this and it's kind of... weird? it's basically about appreciation i guess.
arnold's pickin up helga for prom. he's all pissed that his amaaaazing girlfriend's family doesn't appreciate her at all so he fucks with the million pictures of olga (and a family portrait that helga apparently didn't make the cut for? hahahah) just to be a bitch lolol.
haha i duno. it seems random now that i'm looking back on it. O WELLZ. it was one of those 3 am write it on my phone before i fall asleep ideas. tehehe THE BEST ONES. i also realized all my picture ideas happen as i'm falling asleep or when i'm in the shower. wooooootae

Great work! I'm amazed at how much this reminds me of my girlfriend. Her older sister is the "brain child", and has always been the measuring stick her her to somehow live up to according to her parents. I wish they could see her the way I see her <3

WOW. Helga's look is just gorgeous. The dress suits her, I love the hair, and (this sounds silly but) I love that you kept the unibrow. She CAN be pretty and keep it! She's just not as recognizable without it.
The kissing panel just made my heart melt.
You put an amazing amount of detail and characterization into every one of these comics. They're so in character and believable and I actually feel like I'm getting a bit of closure for once. Keep up the good work!

I know what you mean. I love the way she's dressed and has her hair. And the kissing panel did that to me, too, especially because of the kind of kiss it is. Helga is so lucky to have someone in her life who genuinely cares for her and knows he always will. That corsage was beautiful, too.

You did a terrific job on each and every panel with very few boo-boos, though only boo-boos that required a certain amount of scrutiny to uncover. You got Arnold looking terrific at every stage of his contempt and disgust as he messes with the pictures, and I can certainly share in his anger with Helga "missing" from the family shot. (Then again, maybe she said she didn't want to be in it or something... but that's the kind of thing a real parent can help the child deal with.)
Helga looks amazing in all of her appearances, and that kiss made my heart skip a beat. Arnold's instant mood change is pretty great too, and I bet he forget what he'd done by the time her foot touched the floor.
The backgrounds are terrific down to the tiniest details, so you did a great job of world-building for the scene, and the three pictures on the wall by themselves are praise-worthy. However, the perspective of those pictures is way off in the long shot of the first panel. I think you did that intentionally to make sure we could tell that he was noticing those pictures yet you wanted (needed) a good establishing shot of Arnold waiting in the entryway. Instead of turning the view and fighting with a complicated perspective I think you should have simply skewed them full to the wall's perspective on the pictures (plus add whatever little touch-up was necessary for the frames). Even if we can't see them as clearly that way, they'd still be easy to peg as pictures and we'd know he was annoyed — the second panel clears it all up no matter what.
The other nitpick is, well, uhm... that the far view and close views of the wallpaper pattern don't match, both the stripe widths and the shapes of the flowers. Yeah.... I need to get a life.
