i'll finish this eventually... and accompany it with my rant. it's not like i'm saying 'IT'S NOT EXACTLY LIKE THE CARTOON OMG DSLHFSD.' but i was kinda hoping it would be... y'know, not horrible. BOO.
i just wanted to post it to say that i do no approve! i do not. ehnoooo.
haha at least i got to draw arrow tattoos all over myself for the premiere! wooootae

i kinda liked the film, it was alright for trying to cram the entire first season into 90 minutes, they got Appa and Momo spot on but Aang and Sokka were too serious and Zuko seemed more desperate than angry

My family and I had that same exact conversation. I was like Zuko. I WANTED to see Toy Story 3 again. But NO!! Mary wanted to see that piece of trash for a movie for the sake of Avatar. I wanted to vomit. I bet that if Toph was in it, she would be calm, obedient, and nice. Compared to wild, disobedient, and nonchalant. The movie SUCKED!!!

big problem with the movie
the bending didnt syncronize with the martial arts well
it was like it was moving around them
not with them
the martial arts and the bending had to be one and the same
but unfortunalty they didnt perfect the special effects before they cast the movie
so they were severelly limited by the natural aging of the cast members
in fact i think that is the big problem
people age and thy didnt do a damned thing in pre production

Had to favorite this just because of Zuko's reaction. Nice drawing of the characters. And definitely great points about what was wrong with that movie. I love that you pointed out that Katara's speech got stolen. ^^

I JUST SAW THIS MOVIE. ;___;
Seeing the actor lineup made me mad, but seeing katara not do practically anything (not even doing a cool move in the fight against zuko to defend aang) was what made me madder. The only person i liked remotely was Uncle Iroh despite his flaws. And the waterbending didn't bother me but the firebending did.
But it epicly failed.

After I got home from watching the movie, the moment I stepped out of the car, I screamed in rage and disappointment.
It echoed. All around the area.
Zuko wasn't even a teenager!! And Iroh wasn't fat or obsessed with tea!! D:<<
Honestly, the play from the episode "The Ember Island Players" was more entertaining AND accurate than the actual movie!
That's sad.
Very sad. Grr.
