Hi, Masha! My name's Diana, I'm web master of a Facebook page where I share my passion for Mermaid Art, in all its manifestations, from traditional medias to photography and digital. As you can see, I always recognize the author and if it's possible, also include the technique used, year and finally a link back to promote the artist, in that way more people know her/his entire job and not only the related to mermaids. The fact that you can achieve this look from Illustrator is astounding.

First of all I have to say, that I love the separation of colors on this,
but I hate how the brush strokes are still blatantly present, but I like how captures
the essence of the old story.
Regardless I really like this work of art, there really is not much to criticize, as there is not much of it.
But would I say this artwork deserves a Daily Deviation?
...................................not really.
I mean its really good, but I'm just not enthralled by it.
Stare at it for long enough and you lose interest, its definitely wallpaper material, just not one I would have for very long.

Can you do this because vector is hard. If you can, teach me. If not, then show some respect. I think it deserves the DD that it got and LimKis is consistently one of the best artists on DA.

Yes, I agree it's a better composition. Although I think you could extend the canvas at the top even more.
