"Vanessa was upset. She’d snuck into her mixed size college classroom after dark, a place she could play with her toy uninterrupted. A tiny little thing, a boy she’d kidnapped as easily as lowering her hand and grasping his diminutive form. He’d struggled so mightily against her grasp, futile but full of fire. He would be wonderfully fun, however long he lasted. She wasn’t sure yet what she wanted to do with him. The little thing might even survive. Sitting eagerly at her desk in the darkened classroom, she pulled him out of her pocket. He gave a wonderful little yelp. Her mouth curled into a smirk despite herself, and she deposited him roughly on the desk. Perhaps too roughly. His head snapped back and slammed against the desk with a tiny thunk, and his struggles stopped. Vanessa’s smile quickly disappeared. After all the work she’d gone through, now he’d fallen wrong and knocked himself unconscious. A grimace splayed across her face. It was doubtful he’d survive, now. When he woke up. There was a sudden flash of movement, and her cold eyes darted to the base of a nearby desk. Maybe the day could be saved after all..."
