PLEASE VIEW FULLSIZE This picture took a while to finish. Took a while
But this is a picture of Danny and Sam with their first child Adrian. Which is the reason also why Sam and Danny have modified hair styles that aren't exactly like the ones they have when Adrian is 14.
If you haven't read the prolouge you wouldn't know it but Adrian was born in the ghost zone by accident. They'd weren't planning for Sam to have him there.

So this is a picture from when he was first born.
The reason for the strange shading BTW is I used Infinite Realms for reference and even though a lot of people make them look normal when they are in the Ghost Zone it's a fact that their skin is highlighted oddly. Thus for the colors I used for the shading.

Well his parents were concerned too but in the Ghost Zone humans are the ghosts so it didn't really affect him too badly. Now if we're talking about all the vengeful ghosts that might want a piece of his father then yeah there is some concern there. Still Danny Phantom protected his wife and child well. Also, I feel like since the ghosts respect holidays like Christmas they might also have a certain rule about respecting newborns. I think the ghosts were more curious than anything. It's not often if ever a human is born in the Ghost Zone especially the son of a halfa.

I thought living humans couldn't be in the Ghost Zone, that's why they have to useΒ special equipment (there was an episode where Sam and Tucker were in a machine inside the Ghost Zone looking for Danny; the only reason Danny can be in the Ghost Zone is because he's part ghost and he has to be in his ghost form.

Nope technically anyone can go in the Ghostzone. You don't need gear to do so.Β
There has been plenty of times that Tucker and Sam have been to the Ghostzone without gear.
Just to name a few:
First time Danny goes to the Ghostzone he transforms in the middle of Walker's prison in Prisoners of Love. He does that without any equipment. Yes he's half ghost but he was still in human form so Ghostzone could have affected him but it didn't.
In Reign Storm the whole town of Amity Park gets pulled into the Ghostzone and everyone survives fine there. True the put up the shield but they only did that to protect against manevolent ghosts.
Beauty Marked is a good example of Sam being hauled off the Ghostzone without gear. Danny, and Tucker have to rescue but remember Tucker didn't have to wear a hazmat suit or anything to breathe in the Ghostzone he was fine.
When they travel by the Infi-map in Infinite Realms all of them get dragged around the Ghostzone by the map without any equipment on.
Basically in Butch Hartman's world in the Ghostzone human's are the ghosts so everything around them can't hurt or affect them.
It's basically a different dimension connected to our own. Whereas Ghosts are barely affected when they are in our world the same ghosts for humans when they are in the Ghostzone.
Danny's only concerned on the affects it will have on a newborn because Adrian's still fairly young and suspectible to any viruses or dangers as a baby. Infants are fragile that's the only reason he was concerned. A human baby being born in the Ghostzone is unheard of.
Hopefully this helps you make sense of things. Trust me I researched everything on Butch Hartman's lore of Ghostzone before I wrote this story. I like to be accurate as I can be to the mythos.
I chose Adrian being born in the Ghostzone because it was unique and unheard of. I wanted something fresh and different than just being born in the hospital. I wanted him to be connected to his father's heritage since the beginning.Β

Oh interesting I forgot about all that. I wonder why Tucker and Sam used the special gear in that one episode then. Adrian is part ghost like his father though so it might be different then if a full human baby was born in the ghost zone.

Very true. Although at the time they didn't know Adrian was part ghost they always knew he had some ghost DNA. If a normal baby was born in the Ghostzone there's no telling how that would go. It probably would be much more dangerous situation. Since newborns are fragile and all. Never know.Β

It was a unique and fresh idea at the time I wrote it in my prologue. I wanted their kid to have an instant connection to the Ghostzone.
Also it wasn't exactly on planned occurance. The Specter Speeder had broken down on their way home from a mission. Sam's water broke soon afterwards so they were forced to have Adrian in the Ghostzone. Danny didn't want Sam to go with him on the mission but she insisted and since Adrian wasn't supposed to be born until a few weeks later they saw no harm in it. Often though kids are born before their due date and Adrian is one of those cases.
I just had a lot of fun with this idea
