Shimmer was born into the hatchery about 5 years after the NightWings had finished their village. She hatched with extremely shimmery, glowy wings similar to a SilkWing. She befriended one NightWing, but soon drifted apart after a year. She later attended Jade Mountain Academy where she met a Rain/NightWing hybrid named Moonblossom. The two became inseparable and took on their own adventures. One in finding out that she has SilkWing heritage. The two slowly became busy in their own way and lost time to see each other.
Shimmer LOVES flowers and will often be searching for some in her free time. However, she does not like gardens because it makes her a little bit claustrophobic.
