So, this is a rough, short animation of Mother Nature from Rise of the Guardians Novel (my new scanner is kinda choppy). I’m currently focusing on working on her expressions and I think if her and Jack Frost were to meet for the first time she would really despise him. Not only did he get rid of her father, but I think Jack Frost would be the opposite of her: his ice and cold killing all the plants she worked so hard creating. But I think they would eventually come to understand each other and become close companions, both respecting and admiring each other’s powers.

In the animation Mother Nature is arguing with Jack about Pitch and whether he’s good or evil. Of course Mother Nature means this phrase in past tense, but I think there’s still a part of her who believes her kind and heroic father still exists deep down somewhere inside Pitch.

If you don’t know the backstory of Mother Nature and Pitch go read the “Guardians of Childhood series” right now! If at all possible, it will actually make you come to love Pitch.
