Description
During a golf cart ride with my grandson this morning, I found that the red bud tree had corsages. This photo is a combination of the 'corsages' and the red bud limbs.Canon PowerShot

After the comments, I've looked at Wikipedia and find that this is an Eastern Red Bud tree, sometimes called a Spicetree [link]

Mine is starting to grow leaves now. We've had our usual cold spell, getting down into the 30's at night. The highs have been in the 40's. It's warming up now, though. Your spring is coming soon!

I love the red bud. When the leaves come, they are perfect little hearts. The buds are gone after awhile, which makes me sad. I just looked the tree up so I could send you a link, and find that this is an Eastern Red bud and is sometimes called a spicetree. Interesting.

When I saw it the other day, I thought to myself, "How bizzare". I fear that some will think that I put the little puff-balls of buds on the trunk, but they were there, just waiting for a portrait.

Thanks so much. Maybe I knew and forgot, which seems to happen to me alot, but I don't recall the buds popping out on the trunk like that. So many things seem new when you don't remember things. It makes life an adventure every day.
