Description Today Tessa, our dog of +15 years, passed away.
It's weird to call her "our" dog since she was mostly my mum's, anymore. We got her shortly before christmas, so many years ago, when I was still living at home, as a present to all of us.
She arrived in a crate from Spain and she was oh so scared!!!
Her anxiety gave her some rly odd quirks... like she never liked being in the backyard in the afternoon... she'd gaze intently into the sky, then get that concerned expression on her face and hide inside. She was also scared of hot air balloons lol.

When she wanted a snack, she'd come and take your hand in her maw and drag you/guide you over to the kitchen. Nobody ever taught her that, it was her own idea to "train us like that"

She was already partially deaf and blind, toothless, couldn't hold her pee anymore and unfortunately as we learned just this week, she's been growing a tumor the size if a fist wedged between her spleen and kidney that caused her obvious pain.
So my mum did the only sensible thing and took her to the vet one last time

One of her favorite pastimes when we were walking her outside was digging up and chasing mice in the fields. These heavenly mice sure are lucky this old girl's got only gums left to chew :,) because she surely didn't let those in the fields get away.

Rest in peace, sweet girl, you had a good run.

Ty.
Yeah, poor lil dudes... she'd go venturing for them and before you could reach her on the field the deed was already done :1
