Description I usually don't jump on the bandwagon due to laziness but this time I was really inspired by looking at the influence map of other artist that I watch.

If you're interested, the original can be found here: [link]

This was really hard for me to do, and while I think I got the main ones, I know there are many more that I missed:

OSTs: While I'm pretty sure everyone is inspired by music, I have a particular love for anything instrumental/orchestra and I often find myself inspired by anything with a strong emotion attached to it (which is why I love OSTs so much). Lately I've been attached to How to Train Your Dragon, Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs, Pirates of the Caribbean 3, and Kingdom Hearts.

Clamp: After I got over Sailor Moon and DBZ as a kid, I soon ran into Clamp and they have stuck ever since. I love, Love, LOVE their detail to costumes and character designs. I look towards them for ideas on inking, colors, and composition.

Nature: I think a lot of people can relate to this. There's so much to be found in nature from the plants and animals to the elements that it's hard not to come away without something. Something from nature that inspires me the most is seeing a creature interact with its environment.

Fashion: It's really nice to see the variety of clothing that's out there and I'm always filled with ideas of how to dress the people/animals that I sketch.

Culture: Again, it's really cool to see the variety of different cultures.

Brian Jacques: I'm such a big fan of his Redwall series. His characterization and descriptions are really dynamic. He inspired me to really think out my stories and character interactions.

Crime Fighting Duos: I think this is more of an obsession than an inspiration ....... but rarely do I watch/read something with two people working together to accomplish something that doesn't get me straight to my sketch pad....I'm pretty sure it has something to do with my sidekick obsession...

Hiromu Arakawa: It's the little details that I love with her work. Whether its the way a character's nose is shaped or how she does expression. Overall her art is simple but there are a lot of little touches that give it a lot. Also, I really love her subtle humor~

Hiro Mashima: I like his attention to detail, especially with clothes/accessories for a character or what he does with the background.

Disney: I'm always inspired by the movies concentrating on animals. Disney's version of Robin Hood is one of my favorites.

Miyazaki: He can say so much about a character using such little detail. But what he doesn't use in character design he makes up for in expression, gestures, and interaction with environment.

Devianart: This feels like a cheap shot but I really enjoy looking at other people's art and the honest reason why I keep practicing and improving is because I'm inspired by what everyone else does.

Note: None of the pictures belong to me; they were all found on google image search.
