The red just screams out apocalypse
The aliens are a friendly color
since they are in control without resistance it helps making them feel dominant
if i would do anything new to it i would suggest one looking at the camera ...
like hes just seen lunch

I guess I'll be the one who poops all over the party...I think there is too much red. Its cool to have red shadows or something, but it just seems like too much to me the way it is. Particularly because of the style of the art. If it was more simplistic and graphic, I think the red might work, but as it is, the art is fairly realistic and detail. I think if you used the red as a base but then added some localized colors as highlights it might look better. The other question is, WHY is everything red? Where is the red coming from? Because generally when you're dealing with sequential art, the rules are a bit more grounded in reality. For a cover it might be acceptable to use a random color just because it looks cool, but I guarantee you most editor's first question would be "Why all the red?". I think you're better off limiting the red either to the shadows or the highlight areas to show its the light from the sun. Another thing I would say is there is no color difference between the aliens in the foreground and those in the background. I think you should probably take into account the atmospheric perspective and desaturate the ones in the bg. Right now they pop a little too much in my opinion. Now, I know I kinda tore you a new one with this, but I'm just trying to help Keep at it dude, its a long process but I know you've got the skills to do this professionally!

Thanks! I wasn't really sure if it worked or not. I agree with everything you said. I really needed some feedback. What kind of colors do you think would look good on this page? Maybe just more grey, realistic, muted colors but still with a creepy kind of mood?

I really REALLY like the colors you used. But just to be a pain, I would suggest a little more bright yellow on the explosion smoke.

like what u've done everything looks good. only thing id suggest is an overlay on the line art around the smoke blending the line art with the colors of the smoke/fire. other than that looks great

You mean just changing the color of the lines right?

yeah all around the orange smoke/fire, just carefully brush over it with a darker or lighter solid orange, maybe tangerine. with a brush set to overlay if u did this in PS. it looks like u did something like that with the building line art.either way it still looks more pro than intermediate work in my opinion.uve created a strong chaotic environment.

honestly, I think you did incredible with the colours...the only thing I could suggest, lighten up the red around the explosions, so it's the explosion/fire effecting the lighting around it.
otherwise, great job.

i like the general style your going for.
i would seperate the humans more and give them realy soft normal colors so that they seperate from the aliens. some color holds on the background to get more perspective would be great too.

then you should move on to the next piece i think. sometimes its better to let a pice on the side for some time. later you will look at it a different way.

I really like the colors. It's intense, and sets an atmosphere.
The odd thing is that psychologically, people will be drawn to the fire as dangerous, and the cool aliens will only be see later. Though that could actually be the right effect, so there you go.
