Reblog on Tumblr From Here: LinkBy now some of you might know that I'm a Shantae Fan. This time I wanted to see how she would look like wearing Link's Tunic. With all the elements that these games share in common, it's not hard to make the connection
I went and chose the most iconic of the Zelda series: Ocarina of Time Tunic, the Master Sword and the Temple of Time. I decided to go with the red tunic because it fits better with the usual color scheme of the little genie.
I also made some color variations for the tunics, including versions without the white spandex to emulate the Young Link attire. I figured it would be a good bonus to add to the creation process of this artwork in the Patreon gallery . You can always check it if you're interested, I appreciate your support
In the meantime, I'm gonna keep waiting for the Half-Genie Hero release, her Sm4sh reveal, and her "out of stock in 5 minutes" amiibo (I still have high hopes

is bolo supposed to be link? true bolo doesn't go on adventure, I mean Shantae supposed to be Zelda.

Well, it can't be a mistake when it's just an interpretation. You can be silly enough an imagine that Bolo is Zelda and Shantae is Link. (or Sky as Zelda) Risky as Ganondorf.
Shantae is the hero of her game, so it made more sense to make her Link. Nothing personal against Bolo, it's just what I wanted to draw

Bolo is Zelda? That's gay, my opinion is, in watch Quest bolo is the Hero to, well maybe he almost look rip off of Ike? Like bolo was almost in Smash instead of Shantae but my reason is I love bolo as link and Shantae was supposed to be zelda That's my opinion, well whatever you say about this.

I have beaten Zelda 2 NES. As well as Metroid, I just think Shantae fits better in the Monster World series.

Of course I know their worlds are not a perfect match, since they have different cultural references, lores and such. I was just trying to portray Shantae as a hero, on a similar to level to Link or any other game protagonist. I bet she would share a similar respect for a series like Zelda, if she was asked to do a cosplay, I imagine she would be excited to do so.
I just try not to overthink everything all the time.

I'm working on a crossover between Asha, Shion, and Shantae.
Shantae and the Aliens from another world.
Its about Shantae having to deal with this race of mind control oriented Aliens that gradually take control of people in Scuttle Town and force them into building machines to make Sequin Land habitable to them. This is interrupted when two heroes, Asha and Shion, who have fought the Aliens in the past, acquire her magic lamp from the bottom of the sea where she left it in Pirate's Curse, and use it to summon her to their base of operations which happens to be a Floating castle.

I would say Shantae is more than capable to handle all sorts of adventures, so it's not necessary to compare them.
It's this Asha by any chance? Her design looks pretty fitting to the world of Shantae, so I see what you mean

Yes that is Asha,There are several artworks floating around DA Shipping them. Asha's game is basically a Shantae game almost. I wanted to see Risky boots looking at her saying: So, are you Shantae's Cousin?

I guess the game had other influences I'm not aware of. Most likely the Creators of the original GBC game are the ones that know all the details about it.

The creators of Shantae said they looked at Monster World 4 only when it was brought to their attention during the development of the failed Shantae Advance: Risky's Revolution game on the GBA.

Some of what was in Risky's Revolution made it into Risky's revenge, but as whole lot was dropped. But some assets look lifted from Monster World 4.
