Here's 107...due to a dare made by I present to you Mothra of the Showa Era.

I personally don't like this version of Mothra. When I first saw it I thought that it was ugly. I figured that it was too yellow.
Then, when I saw Godzilla and Mothra Battle for the Earth and saw Mothra with all the white, I figured that this version was what happens to a Mothra when it gets older.

Mothra's wrath was measurable on the level of Godzilla. Mankind had knew not to provoke her anymore. But greed wasn't so easily swept aside.

When Mothra's egg was washed into the sea after a tsunami, Mothra and her Shobijin went after it. Mothra even in her old age was prepared to unleash her divine wrath on a biblical scale once more but her fairies advised against it.

Instead Mothra trusted them to speak with the humans on her behalf and bring to the egg back to her. She waited patiently as the shobijin spoke with the men who 'bought' her egg. But they were greedy men who cared for nothing but money. Just like before, these two men attempted to take the shobijin and display them for money.

Angered Mothra was prepared to unleash all hell! However, the shobijin begged her to forestall her wrath a little longer. They found other humans who attempted to help them. Yet as time passed, they realized that the humans could do nothing to help them.

Mothra greatly saddened by these events was ready to destroy the men that took her child...but then she sensed it! A simple tremor from under the ground told Mothra about the impending doom. Something was buried under the city and was preparing to strike.

Mothra knew that she would not have to deal out the wrath. She would wait for the one who would destroy the humans and once he was done, she'd take her egg back. Her anger allowed her to feel no remorse for the humans who did nothing but take from her. She and the Shobijin left and went back to their island and waited.

The next day the humans had come to the island as well. They begged Mothra to help them. But Mothra was not swayed. It was obvious that he was there destroying their city. She didn't care, she just wanted to take her child back. But then she sensed it. He was moving toward her egg. She was quickly overcome by the fear that he would attempt to eat the egg. The fear turned to rage! It was time for Mothra to fight for what she loved. She agreed to help the humans.

Before the battle of the century occurred, she called upon the earth's life force for more power. After that she left the island and headed for the mainland. The egg was on a beach and the container it was inside was destroyed. She was getting closer and closer to it happier the closer she got. But that's when she saw him...Godzilla.

In her previous life, she had heard rumors about the one they called 'King of the Monsters' but she didn't expect this. This creature was the greatest opponent she'd ever face. She attacked strongly though. She managed to keep Godzilla away from her egg. She then managed to use her scale attack knowing that she would soon be dead anyway...but a blast from Godzilla's heat ray made it sooner than later.

She was dying now. She flew to the beach in order to shield her egg with her body as she slowly let the life drain out of her. Her soul along with her power and wisdom went into the egg. However, the extra energy from the earth went in too and it created something miraculous.

Godzilla had lost interest in the egg and went after a small island to wreak havoc. The Shobijin knew that he must be stopped. They began singing to the egg to increase its energy so that it may hatch. When it did, something incredible happened. The Egg had hatched twin larvae. One of them was a male Mothra, created by the energy of earth. The creature was merely a temporary vessel for the energy but it would do in the fight against Godzilla.

Following the Monster King to the island, the young Mothra hid behind some rocks while her brother went for Godzilla's tail. But soon it lost that battle and was at the mercy of Godzilla's relentless attacks. He was saved when his sister unleashed her webbing on Godzilla. Retreating while he attacked with his fire and webbing while he was occupied with the other, the twin larva had Godzilla completely cocooned. With that they sent Godzilla over the cliff entirely. They knew Godzilla would survive the fall and would be very angry when he returned but it was worth it.

The twins returned to Infant Island with the Shobijin. There the law of the universe took over. Only One Mothra Could Exist to be Guardian of the Earth. Eventually the energy inside ran out and the male Mothra died. He left his sister to take over the throne and her knew life began.

Godzilla interested the young goddess. She felt a sense of responsibility toward the creature, knowing that he was not only capable of great destruction but also great good. She then realized that Mankind should not be punished for the sins of only one and should be forgiven. Mothra would have to protect them all...especially from what she sensed was coming.
