I don't care about those fine lines around my eyes starting to be visible.
My skin tells a thousand stories.
The story about my life, about laughing, loving, crying, having children, losing hope, finding hope again - of being left behind, and of leaving - a life lived fully for 44 years, so far.
I don't want the insecurity of youth back. I know who I am, where I am. In the middle of life. Young at heart, with an old soul and fine lines telling my stories.
Peter Pan can sail away back to Neverland for my part -
either way, I'm gone
- gone to be right here. In the middle of life. I love life. Now. And there's a lot of life left to live.
