My favorite part? Smashing through the boarded up door with my crowbar, only having one plank of wood left only to get CURB STOMPED by Ole' Tentacles up there! It got to the point where I just spammed the grenades. That was all well and good except for when I had to go back

Yeah, I'd get lost and smashed before I'd regain my senses! Nothing short of a rocket can take down Tentacles! I really missed the giant Xen aliens in Half Life 2...
