Loved Cullen in the newest Dragon Age game.Β I especially liked that he didn't have ramen hair anymore, but my fave was probably the lyrium addiction he struggled with.Related content

The symbolism in this one is really outstanding - unless i'm reading too much into this Β - the sword blade in line with the Lyrium Vial that it appears to be piercing it. Perhaps representing his conquering of his addiction, or perhaps symbolic of the pain that it has caused him?

You're better than me.Β I ended up making him take it and then I got to regret it. XDΒ TO be fair I didn't know whether the withdrawal would kill him and my Levallan wouldn't take the chance.

Aww our dear sweet Commander. To take or not take? That is the question. My Lavallen does not force him to take lyrium but she does support him so that he can deal with this addiction. Great design and use of colors.Β

I played as a Lavellan too, but I ended up making him take it again, because she was scared he'd die without it.Β Later he has the SADDEST speech if you make him do it. :c

I really hope you'll get to play the third part, because they've left SO MUCH goodies for us in the game!Β If you loved the story in the two other games, you'll really enjoy the last one too. :>Β
I really like Cullen, too.Β The reason I added these things in the design is because a plot point in the DA:I, so I don't want to spoil it too much for you. Suffice to say, it adds another layer to him.

Meanwhile I had the chance to give the game a try. I didn't get far yet, since I basically played it at a friends home while she was out and I waited for her, but I was already impressed. And there was so much that made me smile. I'll try to play on a bit and hopefully get the whole experience myself this year.
Heh I liked Cullen a lot and was always miffed that I couldn't date him. So happy this is possible now (even if just for a female inquisitor and I tend to start with males.)

This story line was really could have felt tacked on or preachy but the writers handled it very well. It was another example of how good writing can inform and create empathy.
Also, you're drawing is good too! I love the symbolism of the sword/cross through the hand and the transitioning sun in the background.

Krem's story was really cool to delve into. (Also, Jennifer Hale. *sigh*) The one that really took me by surprise was Dorian. I didn't expect it to be so emotionally engaging. And even the non-socially responsible storylines, like the kid in the Tavern who becomes one of your agents over the course of the game. I found myself really caring about everyone under my command.
Did you romance Cullen? I flirted with everyone. Particularly enjoyed discomforting Cullen and Cassandra. Fell head over heels for Josephine.

Yeah, seriously.Β I'm glad the DA writers took care and wrote really well.Β I was also impressed with how they handled Krem.Β Then again, I was impressed with a lot of things in this game. 
Thanks!Β It was an interesting experiment drawing the sword, because I wanted to show the templar symbol crumbling a bit because of what he's been forced to do.Β I like Cullen, he's had a good story in Thedas.
