great comp and render. You going to sell this as stock art? Cause you totally could and should.

i never thought about selling images, because nobondy buys them (here on da)
i just sell the 3d models online, for a normal 3d artists, there is no problem to reproduce this image

have you tried stock art venders like Istock.com or dreamstime.com? That image would fit into any corporate powerpoint or memo, or newsletter. They buy this kind of image from stock art dealers like I mentioned above. Your comp if very iconic of leadership, innovation, success...

For a normal 3d artists, yes easy. But you want to sell it to the majority of people who don't know their X from their Y, much where their Z is. Plus there are a lot of graphic designers who have the talent to build, but not the time. Just a thought. Would not cost you anything to list it.

Love it! Perhaps the lightbulb could have been a bit more cubuc too... Try yafaray for a more "atmospheric" render.. your scene deserves it...

i think the blender internal renderengie works here quite well too, i dont know what would be more awesome in another renderengine. with blenderintrenal im more flexible with the lightning: layer only lightning for example

global illumination is really worth a try if you prefer a natural look, i like blender internal as you say for quick or special renders and animations. If I just want a HDR with global illumination I'll suggest an external render... have a look on this for what I mean:

if you like I can do a test-render for you!

haha, nice. thumb up.
So said, did you choose the 16:9 format (if I am correct) to enhance the (intentionally) shallow perspective effect? And why so patent a violation of the "rule of thirds"?
I know that this may sound a bit overcilious, but I am truly in love with the concept and the composition, so I think that it deserves to dig a little bit.

thanks dante
i chose the format because of using if for a background for a pc monitor and i like 16:9 even more than the odd 4:3
why violation of the thirds? the lightened guy stands in the right third, the left dark one in the left third, in my way of thinking, this is the rule of thirds^^ i did not know how to check this rule. im ust look at the image and decide if i like it or not, a lot of intuition...
great that you like the image
