XDD well, the good news is, We're getting our apartment, so things'll be crazy for a month, but I should be able to go through all my boxes as we unpack; and just in time, too! I fuming over how much of our stuff has gotten broke already (one of my very valuable dragon candles I got from a friend at work pissed me off the most, but it was kind of my fault for not getting it sooner >.>; it melted just enough from the heat that it basically took someone bumping the box to crack his muzzle right of X(
I had to find a place for them quick back when I was shoved off into a crowded room with all my mom's stored stuff (my closet was bigger than the space I had to put my bed XD; not to mention the lack of privacy really irking me, but It was better than sleeping on the street

Once you star getting more art submitted and get out and active in the community (entering contests by other deviants, joining clubs, etc.) you'll have a much easier time getting watchers. XD As for when they'll comment and such...I quite a few, and only about 3 comment regularly XD; I don't mind, though. I like talking with commenters, and having alot makes it difficult to reply to everyone XD;
I grew out of it, more. I used to like it quite a bit, but it was also all I heard on the radio.

XD it's not bad at all, really. I love how Relient K kinda mixes a bit of a country beat in some of their songs (and I'm not all that wild about country XD; )
Avs are the most difficult between that and submitiing XD
First thing you'll need is the picture you want use as an avatar. it'll need to be 50x50 pixels and less than 15KB in size...though the file size part is alot harder to exceed without an animation. ) gifs or pngs work best with avatars, I've found out. I use mostly .pngs, unless I'm animating, and I only use .gifs because that's all Elements will save animations as.
Actually, I think they've changed things a bit... it seems you can upload a picture then crop it to what you want your av to be XD; I usually never use this, so I didn't remember this... (I tend to make it all at the size I know it's going to be veiwed so I know it looks alright XD; )
Anyway, if you don't have one made, you can find lots of premade ones for free here on DA. Just search free avatars in the search box, and you should come up with plenty. They are usually made with DA's avatar restrictions, so unless it was made by someone not paying attention, you should have VERY few problems.
The next step is to hover over the upside down triangle next to your user name until the pop up menu comes up. then go down and click "Settings." It should pull you up to the page you'll need right away.
All you should have to do from the settings page is click change avatar, then upload image in the popup menu, edit the size of the avatar as you need to, then click save. you might also need to click save on the avatar section, on the bottom right of the section.

XD alright! that should be no problem at all!I might try to do a couple of different crops, and I'll try to upload them to scraps. you can pick out which one you like best, then I'll replace pic with the chosen icon. If I can do animated ones, I might try a few other ideas, too... though I may have to post those offsite. I've only had problems posting animated GIFs here before XDDD;;; anyway, I won't leave it up too long.
It may be tommorrow or so before I get that done, unless I get the picture I'm currently working on done sooner XD;
Also, I had a you tube video set up that kinda shows how to submit art. I need to do either some annotations or figure out my mic though... I tried to explain by talking, but you can't hear me too well XD; I had my sound maxed and couldn't hear it, so I think my mic's noise cancellation feature blocked it out... I gotta do some mic tests to see if that the problem... anyway, you can check it out if you like, and see if you can figure it out... not sure when I'll get any annotating done for sure XD;

I couldn't hear my voice in the video, but like I said, I need to do some testing with it... I'm using a different mic than I was using at my parents house, and it has an extremely sensitive noise cancellation feature, it seems. I thought I was talking loud enough for it, but it appears not XDD;; I'll see if I can do some testing ith it to get it working, or I'm going to have to look for a new one XD; probably a model like the one at my mom's...
