UPEC (Union of Parallel Earths for Co-Operation.) is a UN like organisation made up of alternative Earths that have discovered how to communicate and travel between realities.

NEXUS is UPEC's security & Intelligence organisation, who police the technology's use, and deal with threats from other parallels realities.

Any pen & paper RPG enthusiasts should check out GURPS 'Infinite Worlds'. (Steve Jackson Games) which is a great resource for gaming alternate realities (whatever rule system you use)
