Here you can see the waterfall "Dettifoss", which is located in the north of Iceland. Really impressive to look at, with the great mass of water that falls here. The waterfall can also be seen in the science fiction cinema "Prometheus - dark signs", in the first scene.Related content

I think even more impressive is the huge amount of rocks at the left side.
But best is the picture in its whole with all the elements. Rocks, waterfall, sky with its clouds, moss and even some snow.

My wife and I visited Dettifoss last September, and the road was very bad. It was one of the worst gravel roads we experienced during our vacation. I had the feeling that my organs were doing somersaults inside my body, and frequently changed position.

I think even worse was the gravel road (and the hill!!!!) a few hundred metres next to the Dettivoss from where you could see it from afar and marvel at the stream the Dettivoss purs into. I was there with two friends and we saw a car that nearly didn't make it over the hill. But it was definately worth the view
