It's weird to say, but now that I look closer, Poseidon looks a lot like Tony Stark. The animated version anyway.

From the way Poseidon talked about her, I think he was still in love with her, like he told Percy that his mother is a queen. He only left and isn't with her because he's a god and she's a mortal so he knows they can never be together. It's really heart-breaking that he can't be with her.
