I think he looks great You really catched that devastated look in his eyes. 
I can hear the music in my head from the movie at that moment.
I read in your journal that you want to focus a bit more on the improvement of your colour use.
One thing that might help is the understanding that black does not exist.
Nor does white really.
What we see is always touched by the light sources and the most prominent colours around.
So in other words, to make your drawings come more to 'life' do not use pure black or white.
Wash your drawing with one main colour tone although your logic mind tells you, this should be blue and that should red,
this should be white and that should be black  
With shadows the opposite tone of what colour the light source is gives a nice contrast.
