We have a little family who lives in the gorge in the Pridelands, This is a mom and her two adopted cubs, she found the cubs together so she assumes that they are actual blood siblings (Which you will get their backstory soon, but they are so young that they dont even remember) The mother never knew her real name as she was abandoned as a young cub and she was found by a lioness, a spirit, who showed her how to hunt and taught her about life, the lioness called her child her till she was a teenager, before the lionesses spirit left her she gave her the name Uokoaji. As a young adult Koa (Her nickname) found 2 young cubs together under a rock slab while she was hunting, the cubs were blocked behind a tiny rock wall so they would not escape (probably to hide them from hyenas) as they were just to meat, so 4-5 months (In my au its between the age of lion cubs and human babies when they begin eating solids as I use human ages for my lions) and she has raised them almost their whole lives. (In the image above they are 8 years old and she is 29) The little boy on her back is named Imetumwa (Meaning sent, Tu is his nickname) and the girls name is Mbinguni (Meaning heaven, Ni is her nickname (Not Ni from the LK books)) Together their names mean Heaven Sent as she believed the gods and goddesses sent them to her.
