Zuri, the 1st cub of Mufasa and Sarabi, she was born a few weeks into their reign, Mufasa is 18 and Sarabi is 17 (Lions are pregnant for about 3 1/2 months). When she was born Mufasa walked into the den, as Sarabi looked at her new cub. Mufasa, in a mean and stern voice "What is his name" Sarabi looked at him, and with a snap she responded "HER, name is Zuri." Mufasa snarled at her, "You gave me a FEMALE! I need a MALE! No female will taint the throne again!" He exclaimed, Sarabi knew he was referring to his mother. "Uru is an amazing queen! and she is a great mother! Don't EVER talk down on her again!" Sarabi said with a growl, Mufasa turned around and growled at her but she looked him dead in the eyes showing no emotions. She stormed out of the cave angry. Sarabi kept a close eye on Zuri for the 1st few weeks, but one day Sarabi tripped walking up the rocks of Pride Rock and was taken to Rafiki, leaving her cub with one of the random lionesses who was watching the cubs that day. When she was patched up she walked back up to where the cub-sitter was, Zuri was nowhere to be seen, her heart dropped, she asked the lioness where her cub had gone, to which she replied "The king came and got her." Sarabi began to panic "Where did he take her!" the young lioness looked at the queen in shock "He said he was taking her to show her the top of pride rock." Sarabi turned and started to run up the path to where they were when all she saw was a cub. Her cub. Fall from the top and land in front of the den entrance. Sarabi screamed as she ran to her cub, sobbing she stared at her cub, who was now in a pool of blood, Mufasa ran down as quick as he could, fake crying, "Oh my god, Im so sorry Sarabi! I...I didn't mean to let her fall!" He said, he had to make it look real as some lionesses were starting to crowd around "HOW COULD YOU MUFASA! OUR OWN CUB!" she screamed at him. His tears quickly disappeared and turned to anger as he smacked Sarabi across the face "NEVER TALK TO ME LIKE THAT! " He yelled loudly ''IT WAS AN ACCIDENT, AND IT WAS JUST A CUB! WHO CARES!" he snarled and began to walk away, he turned for a moment "All of you lionesses, get out of here, go hunt!" and continued to walk away, the lionesses all walked away not wanting to be punished by the cruel king, Sarabi still shocked slowly walked closer and laid next to her cub "Im so sorry my little princess, Im sorry I couldn't protect you from him." She cried as she spoke, Zira, Sarafina, and Taka watched from a distance, Taka(Scar) was 18, Sarafina was 17, and Zira was 14 (Zira will be 16 when they become a poly relationship, but rn Taka(Scar) and Fina are bf and gf, but Zira was as big as Fina because Zira is half barbary lioness and Fina is a very small lioness), They all left to give Sarabi some privacy, A few mins later Sarabi took her cubs body to young Rafiki where they wrapped and buried the cub, the only ones present at the royal cubs funeral was Sarabi, Taka, Fina, Zira, and Sarabi's best friend Imani.

Also to people who are thinking or say "She looks like Scar!" No she doesn't, she looks like Uru, who is Mufasa and Scar's mom, so she gets the reddish coat from Mufasa's mom.
