Description
Erosionoil on woodpanel
33x24cm
the Idea was to have an empty world/space (almost like that white space in "the Matrix", the Construct I think its called in the movie) a sort of artificial emptiness like the world/space which computers make in so called CAD programs, and have it exposed to erosion, you may almost call it digital erosion

Lol, I want to add more to that . . . I really love that at first this seemed like a more natural painting (though slightly unnatural, due to coloring.) I mean that it looks like cliffs in arizona to me- but the ones I've seen don't have snow on them or white sand. So it looks like it's functioning in the natural world but it's not existing the way things could be. And then to read that it is influenced by digital concepts-Well, human psychological concepts in a way (given that all technological concepts our coming from our minds, anyway.) It adds a more interesting level because it is two landscapes at once- Or one more human/conceptual/mathematical landscape dealing with more natural processes of the universe (That exist without the human mind,) like erosion.
Anyway, those are just the considerations that pop into my mind. I dunno if that's what everyone sees or if that's what you're intending.

I can't figure out why I like your work which is probably why it's so atmospheric - it's very visceral. Nice contrast between the snowy white and deep earthy red tones.
