the skull is a might over the top, the morbidity is there without it. it seems to be added due to the fear that the rest of the piece wouldn't have a dark/interesting enough quality without it, and thats not the case.

interresting that you think so, cause I doubted alot before putting it there, but I felt something was missing and though I didnt really like the skull solution I added it cause I felt something must be added for balance. as soon as a better solution turns up I'll paint the skull over... But It will in some so way only be a more sublime symbol of what the skull now represents

i'm very glad you hesitated about it and still aren't certain of its place, it seemed like you must've. there rest of the work comes from some place else, less derivative and unwilling to compromise. the other symbols are more organic---and then there is the clipart. thats putting it in extremes that are maybe not helpful, but it maybe makes the point.
