My first fully cg rendered Spiderman fanart.I did this piece from conception to finish using Corel software and my mouse(no,it was not fun).I just felt like challenging myself.Most of my art is touched up or given special effects and enhancements using Corel,but it's rare that I do a full cg rendered piece such as this.I don't have a graphics tablet,as of yet,and it's very tedious doing a piece with a mouse instead of a pen(at least to me it is).Still I wanted to prove to myself I could still do it and so I did.
Anyway,some of you may not remember(or even know of) Carnage aka Cletus Cassidy since he was killed off in an issue of Spiderman,but I wanted to bring him back because I'm so tired of seeing Venom versus Spidey type pics posted around DA.So..what do you all think?

another nice piece, especially since you used a mouse, lol. I just (finally) got my own tablet so I can relate to using a mouse for things like this and having a difficult time with choppiness and whatnot. Apparantly you like comics--do you keep up with them much? I was curious about your comment that Carnage was killed in a Spidey comic...which one? I wasn't aware of it, but I do know that he was recently ripped in half by Sentry in one of the new Avengers comics (a year or so ago).
Anyway, this piece reminds me of a novel cover for a Spider-Man book. You should submit it to one of the publishers of the Spider-Man novels or something. ttyl!

haha. I really don't like that costume. it's just a grey/black version of his suit, and I already don't like the way they did his suit .... but that's juts me.
That's cools that you are using a tablet, I find it waaaaay easier to use compared to a mouse.

Very impressive, especially since you did it with a mouse. My optical mouse seems to have a mind of it's own and I can't seem to make a curved line without it going berserk on me... people say clean it, but it's a digital mouse... wiping the little light doesn't seem to help...
Anyways, nice work. I would like to see your take on the Venom in Spiderman 3... not using Topher Grace as the host, though.

Well you can just submit your massively cool drawings and as many as you want so long as they are marvel. One of my people hosted a contest for a new club ID. So if you want to do something new you can do that. But in the meantime anything you have Marvel wise will be welcome in the group.
