Is this painted on emulsion? The composition is very interesting.

It is actually an all digital image. I shot t digitally, and then used a texture overlay.
The school where I was the photo lab assistant at lost it's wet darkroom, and now has only a digital lab....I converted kicking and screaming. I never had the chance to experiment with toning, or emulsion

Thanks for looking around and for taking the time to comment!

Oh rats that's not fun. I'm not much of a photographer, but I had a quarter of photography and we worked with that technique where you put objects on the enlarger (I forgot it's name), pin hole cameras, and finally single lens reflex cameras. We were required to develop all our photos. It was pretty neat, but I never got to do emulsions

LOL! Digital is "fun" in its own right, but there is a certain magic that exists in the wet darkroom.....I miss it A LOT!

Sara-This piece is so unique and delicate. Wonderful detail. Because it is so subtle, it almost gets lost among everything else. It reminds me of a pressed flower you accidentally find in a library book. Really well done. Do you have the inclining to do more pictures like this? I really enjoy your antiquated looking work. All the best and continued success to you in this New Year!- DAn

thank you Dan. I take each work as it comes - meaning I try not to think too much, and to just let it flow. Sounds new-agey and hokey, I'm sure! If the image needs a similar treatment to this, then it will get it. They tell me what they want, not vice -versa

Thanks for your continuing support.

How did you get these effects?.

I had good lighting, and then I layered a few textures and selectively erased parts of them in PhotoShop. I am a texture layering fool
