Description For a long time people have suggested that I make masks like the ones in my art work, and I have wanted to do this for a while as well, being that I love masks and I also love working in 3D as much as I do 2D. I never had the space to do any real ceramics, plus the necessity of a kiln so it was all a bit out of reach. I never liked sculpy much... the texture just didn't suit me plus the melting issue when baking. then i found PAPER CLAY. buahahahaha.

Ive been messing with it for a few months and this is my first experiment with large appendages. It worked beautifually...

the base structure was constructed of toilet paper rolls and masking tape, its amazing how versatile those things are. The mask it light and easy to wear, somewhat felxible and about as durable as paper mache can get.

I'm going to be working on putting together a few masks this year for halloween to be available for purchase.

this is what he looks like before any paint or decoration.

for those of you who inquired about these before, send me a note if you are interested in commissioning a mask for this Halloween.
