So here's a test I did for my Midna cloak to determine where to place the designs, and how big/small to make them.
The actual cloak is real, I just took a picture of the back designs of the cloak from the actual Midna model, then laid it over the back of mine in Adobe Fireworks.I feel bad for not working on her more, so I figured I give you guys atleast something to look at for right now. I finally gots my dressform, so I can FINALLY finish the damn cloak!

Well, I got the design printed at Kinkos, but it was way too big! -__-; So I'm free-handing the design with chalk first, then I'll go back and paint. it's tedious, but it's working quite well, and Mike is jaw dropped impressed with the results so far.

I usually see the design way too small, like half of it looks like it got schlupped on just to fill space
