No, he would have been a different child, probably with a handsome hooked nose and a lot more brain power. His last name would have been Snape and his first name would have been, say, Julian, after Sev's favorite Roman emperor. (That's Julian the Apostate, the one who switched sides.)
Julian Snape and the Prisoner of Azkaban-- whom he would have handed directly to the Dementors as the one who tried to murder his father back in their school days.
Julian Snape and the Half-Blood Prince, who wouldn't have needed a second-hand textbook because his father would have taught him all his potion tricks already so he would have gotten an "O" on his Potions OWL.
