Lei Fang, from the Dead or Alive series of games. This is my next big work, and I want to get some good, constructive opinions and suggestions before beginning the CG work, as always. Drawn in Photoshop 7, with a grapics tablet.

Lei Fang is another particular favourite of mine. Like Hitomi and Kasumi, she's cute and sweet yet at the same time, she also strikes me as having a more free and extrovert personality than they do, and she's more open with her sexuality. That's the character trait I wanted to focus on here, by using a more suggestive and sexy pose and content than I normally do. To me, the bare female back, and the way it curves like that has always seemed pretty sexy. I dunno if that sounds a weird thing to say, but I've always thought of it as a great way of showing sexuality, without seeing any unmentionables. So I really wanted to go for that idea with Lei Fang, here.

The actual lines on her back at the moment are mainly a means to show its form and won't necessarily be there, at least in that thickness, in the final outcome. I dunno, that bit might still need work, but you get the idea anyway. The pose wasn't too hard, but her face certainly was. It took me ages to get the eyes just right, and I had a hard time finding good sources for that particular expression. The hair isn't bad, but I've always had trouble with the pigtails in the past, whenever I've done sketches of her on paper, and this is no exception either. Very complicated, and I lose the pattern a bit in some places so I may need to work on them a bit more. As far as the CG'ing goes, I'm going for either a bathroom background (wall tiles etc, and maybe a bit of water vapour around the place) or actually outside, with a nice blue sky. I'm still undecided, but thinking about it, that bathroom idea sounds pretty good. Let me know which you think would be best, or an idea of your own. I may even do little subtle trickles of water going down her body too, since she's drying herself off.
