T'was. Solely using the calligraphic brushes on about a 42% opacity, and the shape tool for the opaque backgrounds.

On the other hand you run the risk of appearing to be the kind of brash person who looks at a piece for five seconds and then posts their thoughts immediately (usually in capital letters), and until the Windows sarcasm filter is mass-produced that risk will just keep growing.

I was fooled, believe it or not.
You have the colours down incredibly accurately, I mistook it for a screen shot.
Really nice design, it's all soft and gentle; the exact opposite to the carnage that usually occurs there.

I don't know if you want any crits, but nyerr. The stairs on the right there look more like a stripe on the wall. I wouldn't think they were stairs if I didn't know better. But I don't know if that's a problem, since the picture as a whole seems to be more on the carefree speed-painty side. Butbut the stairs on the left look so fine. D:

Ah yes, the stairs. I admit I started doing them with proper perspective and then though 'you know what? I hate stairs. Sod it, it can just be a wall-stripe'. Maybe I should just remove them. On the other hand you win fifty red stars for knowing there are stairs right there in the game.

A combination of Photoshop and finding bits of Gmod that are easy to paint. And copying Dhabih Eng, of course.
