I just realized I've never uploaded my first drawing of Pennywise finished. Well, when I say finished I mean I had fun colouring his beautiful lips and ballon

Yeah, this version of Pennywise has a more haunting and seductive feel to it.
I saw the 90s version first and he looked colorful and friendly like any old regular clown you would find at a kid's birthday party or the circus.
When I first saw the 2017 version of Pennywise, I was immediately taken aback from how drastically different it looked from the 90s version.
I mean, the 2017 version looks a lot younger and that he was dressed in a more elegant Victorian-esque suit with detailed pom-pom boots.
I saw the face of the 2017 version though when I first saw him, and it looked he was trying to entice the viewer with that seductive stare and those succulent red lips. Also I really liked how the red lines had that glossy texture like satin ribbons gliding from his lips and flowing over his cheeks.

If I remember correctly the director said he wanted a younger clown with a baby-like face for it to look even scarier and more modern as well. I honestly don't know if he knew this version would get a lot of fangirls eventually but he nailed it !
I really like his clothes as well, compared to the Tim Curry's version, this Pennywise shows better the fact that he's been here on Earth for a while thanks to his clothes and pile of "garbage" mostly.
They also shew his beast side even more, as well as his behaviour. I personally believe it's more fitting than the older version where Pennywise just looks like a perverted old man with too many human manners.
But I still like them both, even if I must admit I like the newest version more for all the things I said previously ^^ And yeah, his red lips are doing a thing to me as well. Can't help it. <3

I actually like both versions equally.
But Tim Curry's version of the clown still has the monstrous aspects, they're just much less emphasized than Bill Skarsgard's version.
There's still the yellow eyes and sharp teeth in the 90s miniseries like in the book and 2017 movie.

I originally planning to just colour the lips and balloon, but my old scanner wouldn't recognize and copy the other lines properly so you could barely see them ! I think the machine can't deal with contrasts anymore lol. So I defined all the lines with a black marker but in the end that's not so bad.
I'm glad you still love his gorgeous lips and that I managed to colour them properly

Yes that's why I used to love to draw the Joker as well because using their features, make up and clothes are very interesting and easy to recognize no matter what you're planning to draw
