I absolutely adore this photo. The concept is interesting and the photo itself is very stunning. I actually feel like I can relate to this photo. I'm not a religious person, but the rest of my family is VERY religious. They've tried to convince me on several occasions to change my ways or face the consequences. It's basically 'Believe in God, or go to Hell' for them.
For me, the cross represents the religion my family has been pressing down on me for years. The model's expression is really just what I feel whenever they try to push religion on me. Pain and desperation. It just hurts so much when your own mother tells you that you're going to hell. I wish she and everyone else would just leave me alone on the subject and accept me and my beliefs.

This is really great! The first thing it made me think about was how people tend to force their religious views on those who don't agree with their own views. That is one thing I make sure to never do, because when you are forceful it just scares people or turns them off of what you want to say to them. This made me think of a literal translation of that. ^_^

Please remember - Christ never used the cross to repress anyone. He used it to set us free.
It was misguided and power hungry leaders, both in politics and in the church, that used the cross and His holy name as a weapon against the infidels and those in need of redemption by force........
