Description I'd been meaning to fill out one of these influence maps for a while, but after seeing =stagehand007 's journal, I was motivated to get around to it.

The subjects of the blocks are listed as follows. The layout I used is kind of funky, but you can figure out what goes with what by starting at the big block and then moving down down right up right down right right up left up up. So without further ado--

1. *LasciviousSav & Mortality's Folly
2. Classics geekery
3. Nature
4. *Shylydrya
5. My favorites
6. Magnificent busts
7. Fancy lightings
8. Cool architecture
9. Shiny artefacts
10. Stuff I find in my yard
11. Books
12: ~roadkillarteest
13. Hotel Dusk

In case you were wondering, all the photos used were taken by me, except for the Hotel Dusk cover art (copyright Cing & Nintendo), the dA favorites screenshot thingy (copyright dA), the works of other artists (copyright LasciviousSav, Shylydrya, and RoadkillArteest respectively) and the awesome Julius Caesar photomanip, which came from some sleazy corner of the internet somewhere.

I'm a rabid fan in case you hadn't noticed. xD

I'm not a huge eBay fan either. But I would just about sell my soul to the devil for anything with Kyle Hyde in it and/or developed by Cing. So I used eBay. I bought it from a seller, though, I didn't want to deal with the auction stuff. And I didn't make an account, just paid with PayPal. So it was pretty painless. :]

Wow! Thank you, Hermie! I don't know quite what to say. You've been an inspiration to me. I see you doing so much...college, writing, art, critiquing, jewelry and on and on and I think...holy cow! How can one woman do so much? lol. You're amazing and I'm so honored and amazed to be considered an influence. Much , Hermie.

And much to you to! Seeing all the stuff you do with 3D has been very cool, and I totally credit that one article you did in 3D Hobby Mag for curing me of my dread of postwork. So thanks!

And yeah, when you list everything out it kind of does sound like I'm a workaholic or something. Which of course, I am. XD

*mouth agape* Aah...! Hermiiieee~!

I'm just sitting here grinning like an idiot. I almost halfway wanna happy cry! It means the universe to me for someone to say they're a fan of my nonsense, but never did I ever think I'd be remotely considered as an influence to anyone. I'm the one always sitting around, considering who and what my influences are!

Y'know, ever since I had my passing out scare awhile back, I told myself I was gonna start telling people things that I want to tell them, even if it weirds them out. (Believe me, nothing dramatic or scary has happened due to that incident, but I still think it's a good thing to do regardless.) And what I would like to say to you is this: you have been the crown jewel of my dA experience and I really, truly consider you a dear friend to me, in all ranks of friends, real life or online or what have you. I very well may have long abandoned this project if I hadn't had your interest and encouragement and you are just all around awesome and the best.

Anywhere this project goes, consider yourself directly responsible! (Maybe that counts for if it turns out horribly, as well. )

*squeaks* Thank you~!

And I consider you one of my bestest friends as well! Warm fuzzies all around!

I was originally going to make the Hotel Dusk cover art be the biggest square, because for a long time, that was one of my major inspirations. Which isn't to say I am not still inspired by it, I most certainly am, as evidenced by its prominent size in the overall flow of things. But the more I thought about it and moved things around, the more I realized that the project and world of MF has really been influencing the directions I'm taking in my more recent work and approaches thereto. Just seeing you come up with and working with you with this thing has really influenced me in a positive way. I feel like I have just gotten a whole new look at things from this--it's hard to describe, but I got the same feeling from Hotel Dusk--it's like experiencing this helps me look at things in a new way. So thank you, for giving me this opportunity!

Alright, I'm done. Sparkles and glitter and basset hound puppies for everyone!
