from a story running in my head:

A teen drow girl, suddenly gets transported to a Modern US city (NYC), finds herself lost in a new world.
Her father was a drow Warrior of Eilistraee while her mother was a High Elf Druid of Sylvanos (Yeah old mix but i wanted it this way to explain her demeanor and her acclimation to surface world more easier). Her mother protected her after dad died... But a Lloth raiding party attacked when she was 14 killing her family making her an outcast to the village that fought off the raider.

She supported herself with trading herbs she gathered from the forest, till one day some bandits attacked and just as the killing blow as about to land and bright flash of light and she vanished.....

Only to land in alley in NYC, walking unsure of herself till she stumbled into a diner where a cop and few others noticed her and tried to help....
This world has a event where beings from other universes arrive, usually humanoid sometimes animals, rarer monsters (Rare event 5-10 a year been happening for 1500 years), so she is called a new comer....

Not understanding the language, She uses some table salt to cast a learn language spell (perm), where she quickly learns English, but since its the perm version she blacked out for a moment and had bloody nose...

Here is the kicker her world was also Earth just a parallel one with different name.
Even more rare was the fact that her DNA matched to a Family (humans {Normal looking}) living on this world like 1 / 1,000,000,000,000 chance of this mix match of races ever happening but it did

How will she fit in and adjust going from Fantasy style world (i.e. Faerun to Modern America)
