I'll have to give this a try! Eventually I want to make some sort of Tudor/Renassance/Medieval outfit for one of my dolls...Maybe Rochelle.

This is really cool, I've seen both your tutorials, I'd love to see more of them from you
One thing I'd like to mention, the font is a little hard to read (it was easier on the other one, I'm not sure why) I usually love this font, I think it might just be the background colour...
Really amazing design, I love your creativity.

Quick tip for those arm holes: If your machine has a buttonhole setting, and a buttonhole foot, that can make it a lot easier to make sure that the holes are the same size. I use buttonhole stitch for non-button applications all the time, and it's pretty handy!

the font you used seems a tad illegible when it's smaller, but i was still able to follow you pretty much by the images, and my own knowledge of sewing. very nice tutorial for a very lovely piece. most, inclusing myself, probably never would've thought ot make such a fancy cape and instead would've just used a solid piece of felt tied around the neck

Hm, yeah, I should find a new font to use for it, but I'm glad the images speak when the words are hard to read!

^.^ It was a lot easier than I thought it would be, took maybe 10 or 15 minutes all together. Actually got the idea while looking at old patterns from the 30s and 40s.

what about sewing by hand

Pretty much the same-just use a blanket stitch and reinforce the beginning and end of each seam. The stitches may need to be smaller, or done a few times to get the strength and smoothness of machine stitches.
