Description
So lately I've been trying to move the barn cat from the old house to the new one so she doesn't starve.Related content

Somehow, the saying "As hard as trying to herd cats" immediately comes to mind when reading what's going on in this comic.
In fact, I know of only ONE thing HARDER than trying to get a CAT into a pet carrier.
And that's trying to get a mule-stubborn, grouchy 7 year old Chihuahua into one.
This, too, involved a move: me and him moving from our old home in West Plains, MO, up to our current home in Wentzville, MO, (West Plains being about a 4 hour drive southwest of here) after my mom passed away in November 2012.
Took me 2 damned hours of trying to chase him down (he got out of the house somehow (my brother left the damn back door open when he and my brother-in-law were loading stuff into a U-Haul we rented to haul the majority of our stuff to storage, and we think that's when and how he got out)) and was stuck running around the neighborhood til I managed to run him into the fenced side-yard and corral him there.
How he didn't end up getting run over when he darted out into the street that ran down beside our former house a couple of times during all that is STILL a mystery to me.
So, needless to day, by THAT point, my patience was exhausted, and I wasn't putting up with any more of his shenanigans.
So, once I finally caught him, into that carrier he went, and the ONLY times he got out of it between Points "A" and "B" (him on a leash, of course) was when we stopped to take a rest break and so he could do his "biz".
I swear, after we got here, and had settled in, he still sulked for days afterwards about the whole thing.

You should of left the cat carrier out in the barn with the door open and something soft that the cat likes. Would be less of a struggle.

Oh man, trying to move a semi-feral cat. I feel your pain. It's hard enough with a tame cat: my mom figured out the best way to get my parents' calico in a carrier was to stand the carrier on end so the (open) door faces up, then drop the cat in. You can generally get the door closed before the cat realizes what happened.
I love the cat's derped eyes and tongue hanging out. Especially in the ball-o-fighting panel.

I actually know how to make this work XD We used a similar method to ketch my old pet rat. you put a blanket over the carrier so it can see you approach.

I shall remember that for next time. Fortunately, this cat's just tame enough to let me pet her. And I was finally able to get her moved over, but as soon as I let her out the dogs chased her away. (By the way, we've got dogs now.)

Failure - when you don't get the cat in the basket.
Epic failure - when you don't get the cat in the basket but you do get YOURSELF in the basket. For epic lulz! ^^
